When is that the Poco F2 coming has been the foremost asked question among smartphone enthusiasts. Even quite two years after the launch of Poco F1, there is no official word on its successor. However, we’d be closer to a launch than before. The company has announced that it’s partnered with Qualcomm to bring a replacement Poco phone. Albeit it didn’t reveal the name or details of the phone, Twitter users believe that this may finally be the Poco F2 they have been expecting.

Poco hints at a smartphone with a new Qualcomm processor

Poco’s Country Director Anuj Sharma shared a video from his Twitter account where he’s lecture the Qualcomm team. Within the video, the two spokesperson hint at an upcoming collaboration. “So last evening, a simple call from @qualcomm_in to wish POCO on our 1st Birthday took an interesting turn. The team at Qualcomm has promised us something special and really exciting for a couple of weeks. What could it be? What do I think?” Anuj tweet with the video.

As expected, the responses were full of predictions around the Poco F2. Some users believe that it is often the first smartphone to return with Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 870 platform which is an upgrade on last year’s 865 series. While others said that the smartphone is often powered by Qualcomm-7 series chipsets.

Twitter users believe new phone can be Poco F2

To recall, Qualcomm had recently announced the Snapdragon 870 chipset for smartphone companies that are not willing to spend big on Snapdragon 888 chip but still want to provide a flagship-level experience to their users. The chipset is additionally 5G ready. “With 5G and Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, you’ll experience high speeds, increased capacity, and widespread accessibility no matter where you connect with 5G, the chipmaker claims.

Last month, the company had hinted that they are getting to be launching the phone with a robust chip. A leak claimed that Poco might ship the F2 smartphone with the mid-range Snapdragon 732G processor. This was dismissed by Anuj during an AMA session. While answering some questions, Country Director Poco India said, “Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G wouldn’t drive the Poco F2”.

Poco F2 will succeed 2018’s Poco F1

The Poco F1 was launched in India back in August 2018 at a starting price of Rs 20,999. It packed Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with LiquidCool tech. The smartphone featured a 6.18-inch display and sport a dual-camera setup at the rear. It came with a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support out of the box.
