Nokia 5.1 Plus is the latest smartphone from HMD Global’s stables to receive an Android 10 update. The Finnish company has announced the Android 10 update is now available to download on Nokia 5.1 Plus, however, in select countries initially. very similar to the previous rollouts, the Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 10 update is being released during a staged manner. HMD Global has also outed a replacement roadmap for Android 10 rollout, which states that subsequent smartphones to urge the update is going to be Nokia 1 Plus. Later, Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 5.1 will start getting the update sometime in Q2.
Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 10 update is now rolling out in India
Since the Android 10 rollout is staged, HMD Global is updating 10 percent units in as many as 34 countries under the primary wave while 50 percent units will get the update by May 22 and one hundred pc unit by Commonwealth Day. These countries include India, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Luxemburg, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The second wave countries are going to be announced later by the corporate.
The Android 10 update size is 1.32GB and it brings the firmware version up to V3.11A, as per a report by NokiaPowerUser that also shared a screenshot of the update on Nokia 5.1 Plus. The new features include a dark mode, gesture navigation, and smart reply among others.

Previously, HMD Global updated the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 2.2. The remaining smartphones are going to be updated in Q2, as per HMD Global’s revised roadmap. The Nokia-branded smartphones were launched with the promise of Android software updates for 2 years.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus was launched in India in 2018 for a starting price of Rs 10,999. It comes with a 5.9-inch HD+ display with a notch at the highest. it’s powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. there’s microSD card support for up to 400GB to expand the storage. The smartphone features a combination of a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera at the rear while there’s an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Nokia 5.1 Plus is backed by a 3060mAh battery under the hood.
