Leica may soon introduce Leica SL2-S camera model

As per latest reports, Leica may announce Leica SL2-S in a couple of months which could be the successor of Leica SL2.

Leica has already released two new cameras within the year 2020 -the Leica M10 Monochrom and therefore the Leica M10-R. The German imaging brand is rumored to launch the Leica Q2 Monochrom camera next. The Q2 Monochrom camera model is predicted to be within the nature of Leica M10 Monochrom which suggests that the camera will click only black and white pictures.

Leica SL2-S could be the successor of Leica SL2

Now, as per the newest reports, the company may announce Leica SL2-S also during a few months. The rumored Leica SL2-S might be the successor of the Leica SL2 which was launched almost a year ago in November 2019. When Leica SL2 was unveiled by the company, many users said that the corporate copied the spec sheet of Panasonic S1R. Features like a 47-megapixel sensor, a max burst of 20fps, 4K/60p, and full HD 180p video capabilities were borrowed from the S1R camera model for Leica SL2.

This time, it’s suspected that Leica may deduct a couple of features from the newest Panasonic Lumix S5. As camera World notes, Leica features a history of rebadging Panasonic cameras. as an example, Leica V-Lux 5 looks almost like Panasonic FZ1000 with a red dot on the front, and Leica D-Lux 7 seems like Panasonic LX100 II.
