The all-new iOS 14.4 beta 2 isn’t a very major release

Apple has released the second developer beta of the iOS 14.4 updates, which is predicted to be unrolled to the general public within the coming weeks. The new beta update comes weeks after the primary beta update of iOS 14.4 and here’s what’s new within the latest release.

The new beta brings minor upgrades

One big change spotted within the latest beta is that the new splash screen that appears for the Find My app which hints that the corporate could also be enhancing support for a few third-party accessories. The update also improves notifications for friends and family and therefore the Find My Network which may now assist you to locate lost items even when not connected to any network (including Wi-Fi). The update also adds Belkin SoundForm Freedom True Wireless earbuds support within the Find My App. The earbuds were showcased at the continued CES 2021.

Many reports claim that the My Find app’s enhancements hint at the possible launch of AirTags, which has been rumored for an extended time. Another change within the latest beta is that the improvements to the HomePod mini handoff experience. Notably, the primary beta also brought some upgrades to the handoff experience, though, the present beta makes it even more smooth. most significantly, the new beta update activates the U1-based proximity features of the HomePod mini.

Two major areas that see improvement are the Find My app and HomePod mini handoff experience

One of the simplest ways to download the newest beta update on your iPhone is Apple’s configuration profile. Visit the Developer website on your iPhone then click on the “Discover” tab. Next, click on the OS buttons within the bar near the highest of the screen then download. Now, attend the iOS 14 beta section and download the iOS software profile on your device.

Once downloaded, the iPhone will notify you and enter your passcode to proceed. you’ll even have to comply with the documents that are a part of the beta process. Once the beta profile has been downloaded on the device, enable it via Settings > General > Profile. The iPhone will restart then open Settings > Software Update to download and install the newest beta.
